![]() Anxiety or ADHD? Whey they sometimes look the same, and how to tell the difference. Here is an interesting read! ADHD is one of the most diagnosed childhood conditions and, yet, there is no objective diagnostic measure for it. Prescription of ADHD medication has increased by 800% in the last two decades, when the symptoms could very well indicate anxiety instead. While reading this, I thought about many of the kids I see who have tried ADHD medication and it made them someone other than themselves. Maybe it was anxiety all along. It is at least something to think about. That's where you come in, parents! Gather your child's support crew and be its glue: ask questions, speak up, and get to the bottom of what is really going on.
